This is restaurant style gravy, I like these types
of gravies they look rich and taste so good. Long time back found one recipe
and with few changes, I stick to this and it’s always a big hit. It’s even easy
and takes very less time and will be rich for party.
Ingredients:
Peas

½ cup

Paneer (sallow fried)
|
1 cup
|
Onion chopped
|
1 cup
|
Tomato paste
|
2 Tbsp
|
Ginger garlic paste
|
1 Tbsp
|
Green chili
|
1-2
|
Cumin seeds
|
1 tsp
|
Coriander powder
|
1 Tbsp
|
Chili powder
|
1 tsp
|
Turmeric powder
|
½ tsp
|
Kasuri meti (dry fenugreek
leaves)
|
½ Tbsp
|
Asafetida
|
a pinch
|
Cilantro
|
few
|
Evaporated milk
|
2 Tbsp
|
Salt
|
|
Oil
|
Directions:
- Heat oil in a pan add asafetida and cumin seeds then add onion and green chili.
- Once the onion turns golden brown add tomato paste and few water sauté for few minutes.
- Now add turmeric, chili and coriander powder sprinkle little water cook until raw smell goes.
- Now add peas and salt wait until peas cook, add kasuri meti and check for salt and consistency. In this stage the oil starts to ooze.
- Finally add evaporated milk and paneer, allow it to boil once, switch off the stove. Garnish with cilantro and serve with roti and paratha.
Note: Instead of tomato paste you can use tomato pure. You can add fresh cream instead of evaporated milk.
